A couple weeks ago, I took a much anticipated trip to Cedar Point, the “Roller Coaster Capital of the World.” While at the park, I was able to ride the new Rougarou and many of the park’s other world-famous coasters.
New for the 2015 season, Cedar Point transformed their notoriously painful stand-up coaster, Mantis, into a floorless experience. Named Rougarou, the finished product was themed after a werewolf from French folklore. During my trip to Cedar Point last week, I was eager to try out the supposedly much smoother coaster.
This spring, an all new experience will await riders at Cedar Point. Mantis, the park’s notoriously painful stand-up coaster, is in for a change. For 2015, the coaster will be transformed into a floorless coaster, get a new paint job, and even a name change.
