Are you looking forward to riding some new coasters this year? Perfect, because a slew of rides have begun testing, and the footage is awesome.


Cedar Point’s record-breaking dive coaster is now testing and the train is running surprisingly fast. Check out the park’s behind-the-scenes video of the testing process:

Lightning Rod

Despite it’s delayed opening due to a faulty launch system, Lightning Rod is shaping up to be the year’s most anticipated coaster. It’s no surprise why after seeing the high-speed layout through the mountainous terrain.


Florida’s first hyper coaster appears to have a solid layout and will likely draw hundreds of coaster enthusiasts to SeaWorld Orlando this summer. Check it out below:

Storm Chaser

As filmed by YouTube user “Extreme Drone Pilot,” Storm Chaser at Kentucky Kingdom has also begun testing. The coaster is a great example of how Rocky Mountain Construction can pack a punch in even a smaller coaster.

Cobra’s Curse

In the Loop caught a video of Cobra’s Curse testing as they left Busch Gardens Tampa.
