Cedar Point Tops Off Valravn

Construction on Cedar Point’s Valravn has rapidly continued over the past month and crews have finally completed the coaster’s lift hill by installing the highest piece of track.

Construction on Cedar Point’s Valravn has rapidly continued over the past month and crews have finally completed the coaster’s lift hill by installing the highest piece of track.

Unlike most roller coasters, Valravn has no supports under its highest point, which made this phase of its construction a little tricky to pull off. Thankfully, Bolliger & Mabillard, the designers of the coaster, have a lot of experience and were able to erect the piece without any problems. Check out some of the pictures that the park has shared of the piece being put into place:

Now that the climb is complete, construction crews will turn their focus to Valravn’s record-breaking 223 foot vertical drop:
